Thanks, Day 54

Sunday, February 23rd, 2014

Today, I’m thankful that I have a great loving family. While I am now quite exhausted, I’ve had a lot of fun setting up my 5 year old’s bedroom with him today. My 3 year old is so frustrating… but then gives me a big hug and says “I luh you so much dad” and it all fades away. These little dudes and their mom make life worth living!

Thanks, Day 53

Today, I’m thankful that I’m able to lounge around this morning with my kiddos and my dogs. And I’m thankful that my breakfast turned out so awesome.

Thanks, Days 30-32

Saturday, February 1st, 2014

On Thursday, I was very thankful that a meeting I had been dreading turned out well. The person who I expected to want to knock out in the meeting was actually helpful and productive.

Yesterday, I was very thankful that I had the chance to cuddle and relax with my wife. We watched and enjoyed Ender’s Game. While not at great as the book, it was solid.

So far, this morning, I am thankful that my boys have finally begun to chill and just play nice with each other. Weston (my little guy) has been super disobedient the last few days. Cash (my older one) has been doing a great job brushing him off and being good, mostly. This morning, they were fighting for a bit, but are playing really well together now… so well, in fact, that I feel like posting this is a serious jinx…

A Year in Thankfulness

Wednesday, January 1st, 2014

My beautiful wife (whom I am infinitely thankful for) thought it would be a great idea to journal something we are thankful for each day in 2014. The rule is that each day we have to jot down at least one thing we’re thankful for. I intend to record my thankfulness here, on this blog. So, it begins.

Family

Today I’m thankful for a caring wife who let me take a much needed nap while she took care of my crazy toddlers.

Today I’m thankful that my boys look up to me and that I have an opportunity to teach them how to do be good men.

Today I’m thankful that my life isn’t run by the book of Leviticus.
